Performing with Freedom…
The greatest joy of a singer is to sing from the soul with freedom and expression, and at the end of the day feel as though you could do it all over again with ease.
It is the goal of Ms. Bravo to give each and every singer the tools and confidence to sing with this kind of ease and enjoyment. She takes students of all ages and stages and trains them both by regular lessons and also by holding week-long intensive seminars. To her these seminars are a vital tool for student growth.
Eat, Sleep, and Breathe Your Art...
This summer, Ms. Bravo invites devoted singers to take part in a special opportunity to spend an entire week with some of the most respected professionals in the classical singing field. Those singers that are chosen to attend will participate in a transformative singing experience that will have lasting impact on their technique, musicality and performing abilities. This week will follow in the Old Italian Tradition of camaraderie, learning, practicing and performing in a warm and nurturing home environment with excellent home cooked food and plenty of hard work. Ms. Bravo was mentored in this way by one of the shining stars of opera, Luciano Pavarotti and it is her desire to pass on his wisdom and musicality to the next generation of singers by opening up her home and using it to foster talented artists.
Do you have what it takes to transform your singing by devoting your mind and body for a full week?
Several times a year Ms. Bravo holds a seminar class where dedicated singers work closely with her and other opera professionals for a full week. This week of intensive study includes lessons, coachings, masterclasses, and performing as well as gourmet meals and a comfortable place to sleep in her beautiful home in Annandale, VA. A select group of singers will be chosen from the applicants to participate in the week of study. The students will be taught technique, musicality, freedom of singing, expression, and dramatization. The next seminar week will be August 22-31.
Tuition is $1300 and will include lessons, masterclasses, and coachings, all meals, and overnight lodging. To participate as a day attendee the tuition is $1000, and will include lessons, masterclasses and coachings only.

This vocal seminar has been one of the most wonderful experiences in my life. As a singer you look for seminars that can offer a complete program where you can develop your character as a performer. This seminar is not just based on an excellent quality of vocal technique, but also is a great secure environment where you grow as an individual and as a professional.
Fabiana Bravo is one of the best teachers that I have had. She encourages you to find your own voice and to be free on stage. Her technique and way of teaching are very easy to understand but at the same time complex. They seem and feel easy because Fabiana does not make it feel impossible. It's quite the opposite.
What I learned in this seminar has been the key to where I am now. It has taken me far and has built my confidence as an opera singer. I highly recommend this seminar to those that want to be successful.
Ms. Fabiana Bravo's masterclasses are the very image of the masterclass of your dreams: being a singer herself - and a famous one at that - she knows exactly to create the environment, that singers can thrive in. Normally around 10 singers, she houses them in her gorgeous Victorian style house in the southwest corner of the DC Metropolitan area, where she constantly feeds them her wonderful Spanish dishes and delicacies, creating an atmosphere of easy discussions, exchange of vocal ideas and experiments,so that nobody is afraid of making mistakes, and trying out things. And there are 3 grand pianos in the house to do it on. This is sorely needed in today's harsh, so called 'professional' world, where everything has to be letter perfect and polished from the very beginning. This is not the way artists create, and never was.
The singers work every day with Ms.Bravo as their voice teacher, and get masterclasses with various experts in the field, among them Ms. Eve Queler from NYC Opera So., and myself, Henriette Lund, artistic director of MD Lyric Opera, who works on general coaching towards freedom, expressivity and individuality, with expertise in German and French diction and repertoire.
Fabiana's seminar is eye opening!
It's an incredible opportunity to learn from someone who knows true Bel Canto, and amazing to learn from someone who knew the great Pavarotti and learned from him.
The food is healthy and delicious.
She made me feel comfortable with the learning process of my voice. I would love to do it again!
The seminar is 5 star all around.
I went twice and I want to never quit coming.
Ms Bravo's pedagogy is pure Italian bel canto, great and plenty of individual classes, renowned coaches and skillful accompanists.
The venue is spotless clean, big, breathtakingly stylish and comfortable.
Healthy Gourmet food and snacks add greatly to the experience.
There is wonderful camaraderie, catharsis, plenty of sleep, and I will definitely be returning!
I went to one of Fabiana's first seminars over at her house. It was extremely helpful for me. Fabiana is such a lovely person, and it was so wonderful of her to share her beautiful home with us. The food was also excellent, and she was very sensitive to any special diet needs each person had. The lessons themselves were great because we would have them in groups but we would also have them individually - and I believe both are important ways of learning. Her husband was also a very helpful teacher, and the other teachers Fabiana would bring in would give us a refreshing perspective to further enhance our learning process.Overall, I'm exceptionally pleased with my experience in this seminar, and I hope to attend another one in the near future!
